Each year, the Danish Federation organizes an educational, inspiring and fun-filled one-week Danish Heritage Seminar about Danish culture and history.  There are also lectures on Canadian and other international topics.  Activities also include singing, dancing, walking tours, gymnastics, films, excursions, workshops and Show and Tell.

An important aspect of the course is the friendship that quickly develops among the participants from across Canada.  The lectures and films are all in English, while the songs are mostly in Danish.

The Headmaster is usually a Danish Pastor in Canada, or a university professor.  The program always includes guest lecturers as well as class participant.

The Danish Heritage Seminar is modeled on the residential Folk High Schools in Denmark - based on the ideas of N.F.S. Grundtvig and Christen Kold.
