The Federation organizes educational programs, national conferences, and cultural gatherings that bring Danish-Canadians together from across the country.
Danish Heritage Seminar
Each year, the Danish Federation organizes an educational, inspiring, and fun-filled one-week Danish Heritage Seminar about Danish culture and history. The seminar also includes lectures on Canadian and international topics.
An important aspect of the course is the friendship that quickly develops among the participants from across Canada. The lectures and films are all in English, while the songs are mostly in Danish.
The Headmaster is usually a Danish Pastor in Canada or a university professor. The program always includes guest lecturers as well as class participants.
The Danish Heritage Seminar is modeled on the residential Folk High Schools in Denmark—based on the ideas of N.F.S. Grundtvig and Christen Kold.
Seminar Activities Include:

- Singing, dancing, and gymnastics
- Walking tours and excursions
- Workshops and Show & Tell
- Films and entertainment
National Danish Canadian Conference
A National Danish Canadian Conference is held annually. It is a forum where Danes from across Canada get together to discuss specific concerns, issues, and opportunities.
Conference Themes Have Included:

- Fundraising strategies
- Tracing Danish roots
Conference History
The Federation's first national Conference was held in Vancouver in May 1982, less than 12 months after its founding. The conference rotates between regions across Canada.

Cultural Celebrations
Grundlovsdag, Sankt Hans Aften, Julefrokost, and other traditional Danish holidays celebrated across Canada.
